Try the sampler platter at SAS Global Forum

2

I'm a sucker for the sampler platter at restaurants - it gives you a little taste of everything. "The crispy, gooey cheese sticks are delicious, but man, I really want more of the chicken skewers as my meal," is typically how my thought process goes.

SAS Training is offering the workshop equivalent of a sampler platter at SAS Global Forum 2012. There are seven 50-minute workshops within the Business Intelligence, Data Management and Administration curricula. These workshops will allow you to get a "taste" of our training courses so that you can make a solid decision of what courses you'd most benefit from.

This week I attended the “test teach” for these workshops and was able to get a sample of several courses within each of the curricula areas. It was great to learn some skills outside of my comfort zone. I also realized that there were several tasks within various SAS software applications that could make my job more efficient, such as cleansing data in DataFlux, creating prompts in SAS Enterprise Guide and setting security as an administrator.

If you’re attending the conference, I'd highly recommend taking advantage of this training opportunity. And the best part... our “sampler platter” is FREE.* Go ahead, dive in and indulge.

*Please note that the workshops are offered on a first-come, first-served basis, and they tend to fill up fast, so come early to ensure a seat!

Hi, I’m Brooke Fortson. I’m a wife, mother and marketing guru who runs on coffee, Skittles and laughter. I graduated from NC State University in 2003 with a B.S. in Business Management and a concentration in Marketing. Before coming to SAS, I worked for a gourmet candy company, a newspaper publisher and a real estate boutique. I am now a marketing specialist in the SAS Americas Marketing and Support division, focusing on the promotion of data management and Hadoop. I’m lucky to have the opportunity to do what I love best, every day: communicate great ideas in fresh, unexpected ways. My favorite color is green, my best dance move is the Sprinkler and my happy song is “Boogie Shoes” by K.C. and the Sunshine Band. That’s my story.
